Product Description

Portable FTTH Fiber Optic Cold-Splicing and Testing Tool Kit

This portable FTTH tool kit is configured for drop-cable preparation, fibre stripping, cleaving, cold-connector or mechanical-splice work, cleaning and basic optical troubleshooting. The bag and tool list can be customised, so the quotation and acceptance criteria must identify every tool and instrument model.

The existing search direction 'ftth tools' is retained naturally. The kit supports field preparation, but it does not guarantee connector performance by itself: fibre cleanliness, cleave quality, connector compatibility, assembly procedure and optical testing determine the finished link.

Cold-Connector Preparation and Optical Verification

Strip, clean and cleave according to the selected connector's dimensions. Insert the fibre without contamination or excessive bend, complete the mechanical lock, clean the mating interface and measure the connection using the approved test method.

  • Confirm stripping and cleave lengths for the connector.
  • Never reuse a contaminated wipe area or touch the cleaned fibre end.
  • Inspect trial strips for damage and trial cleaves for acceptable end face.
  • Match VFL/power-meter adapters and UPC/APC interfaces correctly.
  • Use a stable reference and calibrated meter/source for quantitative loss results.

Pre-shipment Quality and Acceptance Plan

A sample termination and instrument function check provide more useful acceptance evidence than a generic kit certificate.

  • Verify tools, adapters and consumables against the signed BOM.
  • Inspect stripper grooves, slitter blades and cleaver mechanism.
  • Perform representative stripping and cleaving with declared cable/fibre where available.
  • Power on VFL and meter; verify controls, display, adapters and battery compartment.
  • Confirm exact-model instrument datasheets and calibration evidence where ordered.
  • Inspect bag seams, zips, compartments, logo and labels.
