Product Description

GYXTW is an outdoor armored fiber optic cable for access, distribution and project-specific backbone routes. The standard construction places fibers in a filled central loose tube with water-blocking materials, corrugated/plastic-coated steel tape, two parallel steel strength members and an outdoor jacket. LinkFiber offers 2–144 cores; higher-core designs are customized and supplied with an approved construction drawing.

Key Benefits

  • Compact central loose-tube construction.
  • 2–24 core standard central-tube configurations and customized designs up to 144 cores.
  • Corrugated/plastic-coated steel tape for moisture and mechanical protection.
  • Two parallel steel wires provide tensile strength.
  • Outdoor jacket for weather and UV exposure.
  • Suitable for duct, engineered aerial/lashing and specifically approved burial routes.
  • OEM reel length, marking and packing.

Engineering note: 600/1,500 N tensile, 300/1,000 N per 100 mm crush and 10D/20D bending radius are normal reference values. Customized 48–144 core designs, special jackets and severe installation environments require construction-specific confirmation.

Application Scenarios

  • Telecom access and FTTx distribution networks.
  • Outdoor duct routes and campus/industrial networks.
  • Lashed or supported aerial routes when approved by the project design.
  • Buried routes only with a construction approved for the soil, water, crush and rodent conditions.

B2B Procurement Guide

Confirm what “GYXTW” means in the quotation

Ask for a cross-section drawing and bill of materials showing the central tube, filling compound, steel tape, parallel wires and jacket. Product codes alone do not guarantee identical construction across suppliers.

Match construction to the route

State duct, aerial/lashing or burial; pulling tension; bend radius; water exposure; rodent risk; soil condition and temperature. For severe burial conditions, request a purpose-designed armored variant rather than assuming the standard cable is sufficient.

Confirm the high-core construction

LinkFiber can customize GYXTW from 2 to 144 cores. For 48–144 cores, request the exact tube/ribbon arrangement, dimensions, weight, minimum bend radius and mechanical values. Compare GYTA/GYTS when a stranded loose-tube construction is more suitable for the route.

Specify acceptance values

The purchase specification should list attenuation, cable dimensions, tensile, crush, bending, water penetration, temperature range, metre marking and length tolerance. “Industrial grade” alone is not an acceptance criterion.

Plan the complete BOM

Include closures, distribution boxes, ODFs, splitters, patch cords, clamps/duct accessories, pulling tools and test instruments. Consolidated inspection and shipment can reduce supplier coordination, as illustrated by LinkFiber’s one-stop procurement case, without guaranteeing the same numeric outcome for every project.

Quality Verification

Before shipment, verify model/construction against the approved drawing, fiber count/color code, attenuation/continuity, diameter, marking, length and packing. Add construction-specific tensile, crush and water-penetration evidence when the contract requires it. Certificates must identify or demonstrably cover the ordered product and batch.

Standards, Ordering and Customization

  • IEC 60794-series and applicable YD/T test/compliance documents can be supplied for the ordered model. CE, RoHS and CPR documents are provided where the model and destination market are covered.
  • Standard MOQ: 1 km.
  • Samples: available according to customer requirements.
  • Normal lead time: 5–10 days after specification and commercial confirmation.
  • Packing: wooden drum or carton according to cable size, reel length and shipment.
  • Fiber count (2–144 cores), fiber type, armor/strength arrangement, sheath, mechanical performance, reel length, marking, packing and documents can be customized.

FAQ
Q:

What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for GYXTW optical cable?

A:
For standard specifications with 2 to 24 cores, the MOQ is typically 1 km. Sample orders and small trial batches are acceptable. Specific quantities can be negotiated. For bulk orders, the sample fee can be refunded after the order is confirmed.
Q:

Do you support customization of fiber count, sheath material, and packaging for GYXTW optical cable?

A:
Yes. In addition to the standard 2-24 cores, we can customize up to 144 cores. The standard fiber type is single-mode G.652A/G.652D. If your project involves installation in tight spaces, we also offer G.657A1/G.657B3 fibers with better bending resistance. Sheath materials can be LSZH or PVC. Packaging length and logo printing can also be customized upon request.
Q:

Is this GYXTW cable suitable for direct burial and aerial installation? Can it effectively prevent rodent bites?

A:
Yes. GYXTW adopts double-layer galvanized steel wire armoring, with tensile strength ≥3000N and crush resistance ≥1000N/10mm, providing excellent rodent bite protection. It also features IP68 full-line water blocking, making it ideal for direct burial, aerial, and duct installation.

Q:

For large overseas telecommunication projects, can you provide a complete BOM list including fiber optic cables and related accessories?

A:
Yes. In addition to supplying industrial-grade GYXTW optical cables, we are committed to providing a one-stop optical communication supply chain integration service for global customers. Based on your project drawings or requirements, we can supply a full BOM including PLC splitters, fiber optic patch cords, splice closures, and installation tools. This helps significantly reduce the communication costs of sourcing from multiple suppliers.
