GYXTW is an outdoor armored fiber optic cable for access, distribution and project-specific backbone routes. The standard construction places fibers in a filled central loose tube with water-blocking materials, corrugated/plastic-coated steel tape, two parallel steel strength members and an outdoor jacket. LinkFiber offers 2–144 cores; higher-core designs are customized and supplied with an approved construction drawing.
Engineering note: 600/1,500 N tensile, 300/1,000 N per 100 mm crush and 10D/20D bending radius are normal reference values. Customized 48–144 core designs, special jackets and severe installation environments require construction-specific confirmation.
Ask for a cross-section drawing and bill of materials showing the central tube, filling compound, steel tape, parallel wires and jacket. Product codes alone do not guarantee identical construction across suppliers.
State duct, aerial/lashing or burial; pulling tension; bend radius; water exposure; rodent risk; soil condition and temperature. For severe burial conditions, request a purpose-designed armored variant rather than assuming the standard cable is sufficient.
LinkFiber can customize GYXTW from 2 to 144 cores. For 48–144 cores, request the exact tube/ribbon arrangement, dimensions, weight, minimum bend radius and mechanical values. Compare GYTA/GYTS when a stranded loose-tube construction is more suitable for the route.
The purchase specification should list attenuation, cable dimensions, tensile, crush, bending, water penetration, temperature range, metre marking and length tolerance. “Industrial grade” alone is not an acceptance criterion.
Include closures, distribution boxes, ODFs, splitters, patch cords, clamps/duct accessories, pulling tools and test instruments. Consolidated inspection and shipment can reduce supplier coordination, as illustrated by LinkFiber’s one-stop procurement case, without guaranteeing the same numeric outcome for every project.
Before shipment, verify model/construction against the approved drawing, fiber count/color code, attenuation/continuity, diameter, marking, length and packing. Add construction-specific tensile, crush and water-penetration evidence when the contract requires it. Certificates must identify or demonstrably cover the ordered product and batch.
Send the core count, fiber type, installation method, route/reel length, environmental and mechanical requirements, quantity, destination and standards. LinkFiber will confirm the construction before pricing.
