GJYXCH G.657A1 FTTH Drop Cable Guide for Two-wire and Three-wire Projects
GJYXCH FTTH drop cable is a one-core butterfly cable for subscriber drops, combining bend-insensitive G.657A1 fibre with two parallel steel strength wires and, in the three-wire version, a separate steel messenger for self-supporting aerial sections. Current A1 stock originates from China Mobile project inventory and is offered with competitive pricing, subject to reel quantity and batch confirmation.
The available project stock includes one-core two-steel-wire and one-core three-steel-wire constructions. Cable weight, dimensions, metre marking and reel length can be verified before shipment so buyers do not have to rely on a lightweight sample or an untraceable “same model” claim. Sheath, printing, reel format and other parameters can also be customized.
Where GJYXCH FTTH Drop Cable Fits
| Route or project need | Why this construction fits | Information required before quotation |
| Distribution point to building | Butterfly profile supports efficient FTTH access routing. | Indoor/outdoor transition, route length and termination method. |
| Short aerial subscriber drop | Three-wire version adds a messenger for support. | Span, clamp, messenger and environmental exposure. |
| Protected flat drop route | Two-wire version provides parallel strength members without separate messenger. | Tray/conduit route, pulling method and bend space. |
| High-volume operator rollout | Current G.657A1 stock can shorten supply time. | Required quantity, batch, test evidence, print and warranty. |
Two-wire, Three-wire and Sheath Selection
- Two-wire version: two parallel steel strength wires sit beside the fibre unit. It is a flat drop construction and does not include the separate messenger used for a self-supporting aerial span.
- Three-wire version: two parallel strength wires plus one steel messenger provide a self-supporting drop option. The messenger and clamp must be matched to the actual span.
- G.657A1 improves bend tolerance: it is compatible with G.652.D network interfaces, but its 10 mm fibre design radius must not be used as the finished cable installation radius.
- PE and LSZH address different environments: PE supports outdoor weather exposure; LSZH can support indoor fire/smoke requirements when the exact model and document are approved.
- Project stock must remain traceable: buyer approval should cover reel label, manufacturing batch, measured dimensions/weight, optical test and storage condition.

GJYXCH Procurement Risks in High-volume FTTH Rollouts
| Decision or risk | Why it matters | Control before order |
| Two-wire and three-wire mixed | A non-messenger version may reach an aerial site or add installation confusion. | Separate SKUs, labels and reel colours in the order. |
| A1 fibre radius used as cable radius | Jacket, steel wires and transition points can be overstressed. | Use the finished-cable bend value and installer guide. |
| “Project stock” accepted without evidence | Age, storage or batch consistency may be unclear. | Request batch, date, quantity, storage and sample test. |
| Low cable weight sold as cost saving | Reduced material can affect handling and mechanical performance. | Write diameter/weight tolerance and verify each reel. |
| PE/LSZH selected by colour only | Outdoor and indoor compliance needs may not be met. | Approve material specification and applicable documents. |
| Fast connector fit not tested | Strip length and cable dimensions may not match installer tools. | Run sample stripping and connectorization before bulk rollout. |
Pre-shipment Quality and Acceptance Plan
- Stock verification: confirm available A1 quantity, batch number, date, reel labels and storage condition.
- Construction check: verify two- or three-wire cross-section, dimensions, sheath and messenger.
- Optical check: continuity and attenuation at agreed wavelengths by sample or reel.
- Weight/length check: record net/gross weight, reel length, metre marks and tolerance.
- Installation sample: test stripping, fast connector/fusion splice, clamp and bend handling before mass acceptance.
For repeat orders, the approved construction drawing, cable print, reel schedule and test-report template should be retained as controlled references. A generic model name is not sufficient evidence that a later batch uses the same fibre, tube layout, strength system, sheath or mechanical grade.
B2B Buyer Guide: Information Required for an Accurate Quote
- One-core A1 current stock or a customized fibre/count requirement.
- Two-wire flat drop or three-wire messenger construction.
- Indoor, outdoor or combined route and maximum aerial span.
