NK6200 High-Performance OTDR for Metro, Backbone and PON Testing
The NK6200 is a 7-inch touch-screen optical time domain reflectometer series for fiber construction, link maintenance and network troubleshooting. LinkFiber supplies the series to distributors, resellers and project buyers with configuration-based quotation support.
Do not purchase this product by the “45 dB” headline alone. The maximum dynamic range belongs to a specific 1310/1550 nm configuration; wavelength, dynamic range, dead zone and connector requirements must be stated on the purchase order.
Choose the Correct NK6200 Configuration
| Configuration group | Wavelengths | Published maximum dynamic range | Typical selection question |
|---|
| S0–S4 | 1310/1550 nm | 32/30, 35/33, 38/36, 42/40 or 45/43 dB | What route length, loss budget and event spacing must be resolved? |
| T-series | Three-wavelength combinations using 1310/1490/1550, 1310/1550/1625 or 1310/1550/1650 nm | 32/30/30 or 37/35/35 dB, depending on code | Is the network dark, active, or being prepared for PON maintenance? |
| F1 | 1310/1490/1550/1625 nm | 37/35/35/35 dB | Are four wavelengths required in one instrument? |
| M1 | 850/1300 nm multimode | 26/28 dB | Is the installed link multimode? |
| SM1 / SM2 | 850/1300/1310/1550 nm, multimode and single-mode | 26/28/35/33 or 26/28/37/35 dB | Must one tester cover both fiber types? |
Exact T-series configuration codes, live-network filtering and port arrangements must be confirmed in the quotation. A maintenance wavelength by itself does not prove that an instrument can safely test an active network.

Series note: Dead zones vary by configuration: the published event dead zone is 0.5, 0.8 or 1 m and attenuation dead zone is 3.5, 4 or 6 m. Confirm the exact code rather than assigning the best value to every unit. The 420 km range is a selectable measurement window, not a guaranteed usable reach.
B2B Procurement and Remote Verification
- Specify the full configuration code, fiber type, wavelengths, dynamic range and connector interface.
- Provide route length, estimated loss, splitter topology, smallest event spacing and whether the fiber is active.
- Before shipment, request a continuous video showing the serial number and acquisition on an agreed reference link.
- Request the original SOR file and matching report; screenshots alone are not sufficient for trace verification.
- Agree calibration documentation, included adapters, launch/receive fibers, language, software and warranty terms in writing.
Quotation and Related Testing Equipment
Quantity, evaluation-unit availability, lead time, packing, calibration documents and after-sales terms are confirmed per quotation. Compare other OTDR testers, add an OTDR launch cable box, or send LinkFiber your test plan.
